>>21264443it's really on the nose in the modern age just because people don't really care that much and the ones that pretend to care are just doing that as a hobby or as a way to wind down and feel more self-confident about standing up and unknowingly taking the role of a controlled opposition, back in the day any group of people with enough courage and creed could just kill the king and assume the power and shake things up for the best or worst while modern day kings wall themselves off from the common people with all the oppressive mass control technologies and brainwashed paramilitaries that in a case of a real emergency would just shoot you without even blinking an eye, cops protect government from the people and not the other way around
