>>11059698Since last posted, what keeps popping into my mind are the photos I have of my youngest, all of us in the school yard, class by class, dressed for a Flag Day Fete.
Various hats and flags had been crafted from construction paper in the weeks prior.
Being Executive Board PTA (most of us eternal Class Mothers), it was integral to us to insure the children develop that love of Country, to learn what it means TO BE an American.
To be certain, children of every race and creed attended that school.
Funny story. In kindergarden, there was a child from Si Lanka whose name was something like 'Sridar'. All the children called him 'Sweetheart', believing that was his name. It soon became his nickname.
Children are innocents; they do not see division.
Eager to learn, they actually think of themselves as being much older and wiser than they're given credit for.
Maybe a background with school children in it might shock the senses of meme-readers, as you send out your messaging?
...only grasping at straws.
Pic not exactly what I had in mind, but, heart-warming
