For a while now I've been pricing things in terms of how much of some other thing I could get instead. These days it's ASEs. Before it was ammo. Before that it was meat. Before that it was booster packs of magic the gathering. Before that it was relative to my hours of work.
The only utility the dollar has is as a measuring stick to physical things you actually want. That utility is actively being compromised.
