Real macaroni and cheese, while better, still isn't my thing. A pasta wants a tomato or cream based sauce with meat. That is the correct preparation of pasta. Cheese can be involved but only in situations like lasagne, cannelloni, or a dusting of parm on an otherwise non-cheese pasta dish.
