Did anyone else play the Rayman Amazing Learning Games? I loved these in between sessions of The Incredible Machine. Damn I gotta exit thread this is gonna have me troubleshooting the installation of 30yo shit soon.
>>21297030Imo you need to give Legends a try, I haven't tried Origins. The "soul" is there imo with the music especially. It was a pretty fun multiplayer experience, but most games are when your family is in "one more turn/stage" mode. It repeatedly brought that out of some old-timers like me though so there is some magic to be found there.
Understandable on feeling the need to shift to 3D, but it's kind of on par with going from silent movies to talkies. There's a whole new dimension to produce for your audience, and game devs had already just spent half the decade spoofing this third axis that was finally available to dive into. I can't fault any of them, because having been given the tools to finally do it of course their creativity took over and they went to work on those visions. Some did better than others. That and it was absolutely mandated from the top-down that the important teams get working on 3D shit or hit the bricks.
Just curious, how did you feel seeing the art shift after Le'Chuck's Revenge for The Curse of Monkey Island? If you followed the series through the 90s that is.
Did you play and enjoy Little Big Planet?
