>>13536493One of my most hated words is midwit, and "our" side uses it wantonly. People aren't blindly trusting, anon. Have you seen the number of people affected by the mandates? Something like 1 in 9.5 American workers now works for a business affiliated with a hospital. It's madness, but it's our shared reality. Not everyone is cut out to run a business. Most aren't. I'm trying and it's going so very poorly. Most people would prefer to be employees. Becoming a guildsman means sacrificing personal liberties to ensure the continued survival of your guild. The fact so many are going to be able to get around this dismal factoid is honestly quite wonderful. However, most cannot. And they're not happy about it. And they live in communities with other people unhappy about their mandates. Rather than blind, their eyes are becoming uncovered, and they're terrified, and they should be. I feel we're moving towards an Oceania-Eastasia aesthetic war with China to liquidate excess recalcitrant biomass. Imagine yourself as the average American: 38.1 years old, fat, engaged in some weird service job that leaves you exhausted despite not really doing so much. Are you going to rally your wine club and start killing pigs? Or are you going to put your head down and hope for the best? They need an alternative to authority to stop trusting it, and devaluing their agency isn't likely to recruit them.
