When you 'feel into' (google tells me the phrase I want to use is 'empathize', but I doubt that's not really it) it, a father giving probably close to last advice he will be able to give to his son, conveying his whole life, everything he experienced, the emotion still present deep in heart and memories of a calm, old man. I don't know why exactly, but I do find it more powerful than that tale of tragic death of a second cousin, although it was great too, exploring some very interesting motifs.
