>>18230324Cassie gets to her feet, and slowly and deliberately walks toward Andi. She's young and pretty. And if the way she danced was any indication, she's totally carefree. When Cassie was her age, she was struggling to stay alive in the mob while supporting a kid sister. But despite all the success that eventually came her way, the sight of someone living the life her younger self wanted at the time still fills her resentment. Just look at her, Cassie thinks to herself. Some hippy with wealthy parents, who decided to become a wrestler for the fun of it.
Cassie knows many of her assumptions about this woman she barely knows anything about might be wrong. But she doesn't care.
Finally she's right in front of Andi, and looks down at her. "Now I'm sure you're used to doing whatever you want, whenever you want, with whoever you want, but when you kept dancing with so many people, you distracted them from making certain purchases that I'd very much have liked them to make. You were bad for business, and lessons need to be learned."
"So here's what's going to happen. My friend Kasumi O'Brian issued a challenge for the next show, and our new friend Kelly DiVanna proposed that be turned into a tag match."
"So how about you find yourself a partner, and take my girls on?" Cassie's lips curl into a smile. "That is, if a newbie like you with no connections can even find a partner."
Cassie laughs as she returns to her desk. "What I expect to happen is you'll find yourself all alone, on the receiving end of a beating, one well deserved for disrupting my business. I'll make sure to be at ringside to get a close look." But Cassie has no intention of being there only to watch. No. If Kasumi and Kelly don't get the job done, she resolves to publicly humiliate Andi during her first appearance in front of the WWA fans.
"I'll make some calls and make sure this happens. Enjoy your debut, Kestrel."
She then shouts so the bouncer outside can hear. "Come get her out of here!"
