Quoted By:
When I was a kid Lincoln was my hero. I thought the world of the man and believed he was the greatest man who ever lived after Jesus himself. My grandfather, on the other hand, was always a Confederate and always talked about Stonewall Jackson, Robert E Lee, and Jefferson Davis. I at the time believed him to be a racist and I liked to remind him of how the Union fought for freedom and was in the right in the Civil War.
Now years later I've become more well read on American history and I've realized the faults in my reasoning regarding the war. The Confederates were in the right and Lincoln was a tyrant. My Grandfather was right all along. He's been gone for almost 6 years and I wish I could tell him he was right all along and those filthy Yanks should've been btfo.
He's in heaven with Jackson, Davis and General Lee now. He'll probably seem out of place since he was Korean.
