God would take this least graceful people and make them Kings, through Gods strength, as a testament to God being all powerful and the most highest, the most merciful etc.. God also gave us free will, and the jews refused God, they tortured and killed all the prophets God sent, and ultimately God even sent His own Son, Himself, and the jews killed him too, and at this point God doesn't consider the jews chosen anymore, if anything they are cursed.
