Also, lying is more than just a sin in the sense that it is morally reprehensible behavior; there is ample scientific evidence which shows lying literally degrades the structure of your cells, damages your overall health, and leads to a shortened lifespan.
If you don’t believe me, just look up recent studies done on the effects of dishonesty on mental and physical wellbeing. The data is pretty conclusive - lying degrades your health. Even if you’re a selfish person who doesn’t care about the TRUTH in the slightest, you should still Stop lying, as it’s provably bad for you.
