>>3340497the middle east is just a mess because of centuries of imperialism and when people hear this word the automatically think "evil europeans" and that is not always the case, from the arab invasions and subjugation of phonicians and babylonian peoples to ottoman takover and later british and french partitions so everyone is to blame here, i suggest a unified arab secular state and israel removed from the region, jerusalem would be an independent state due to it's religious importance to everyone.
As for the catalans they act like that due to years of brainwashing, they teach their children to hate the spanish although it's true that the spanish state did very little to "defranconize" the country
