>>11074198Well he didn't and I did, so why would I say any different? I'm sorry the military wasn't for YOU, and just because YOU had a bad time doesn't mean the rest of did, I wanted to do my 20 and that's only if I got retired and they wouldn't let me do my 30 because I genuinely loved the military but now I don't regret being out because of how unironically faggoty its gotten plus I don't like the idea of being the Israeli Foreign Legion, but again none of us knew that back then. The concept of the military itself is a very good thing and it's just been subverted now like everything else, but there was a time when it was an honorable profession for the chosen few who exemplified sacrifice and bravery. There's no "mental masterbation" going on, that's just you projecting your shitty outlook because you joined and were probably a POG, and I would hate the military too if I had been support because I joined to fight. That was my life dream, to serve my county in combat, can you say that you lived your dream? My ultimate goal was to go SF or drop my WOFT (warrant officer flight training) so I could fly medevac hopefully, but the Taliban had other plans, thanks a lot bin Laden. I now have not only infantry, but medical skills, that otherwise I'd have never gotten and that alone makes it all worth the bullshit because yes, there's a lot of bullshit and 'fuck fuck games' but what job doesn't have dumb shit? We have it here in the fire department, too, but I joined the fire department because I missed that military structure and brotherhood, but it sounds like you never got to experience the military in the way I did and for some reason you think that means I should be as salty about it. Again, just because you had a bad time, doesn't mean we all did. Some of us are just geared towards the warrior way of life and others not, and it sounds like it wasn't for you but I don't see why that automatically makes it a bad decision for others?
