>>10638737The way I see it, the universe essentially runs on code and your brain is just a compiler. It will compile that abstract code into a representation of that code that serves our biologic needs. Some parts of that code are incompatible with our compilers so end up being discarded, like ultraviolet light frequencies that bird brains can compile. There are multiple layers we are simply incompatible with. Psychedelics just kinda exposed us to the stuff we normally filter out because of compatibility issues. It's overwhelming for us because we don't process that kind of information, hence we trip the Fu k out of our minds and have a general feeling that what we are experiencing is "more real" than the reality we are normally accustomed to. That feeling is there to reaffirm that "No, this isn't a dream no matter how strange this is. you are awake, conscious, and seeing a slice of reality you interact with every moment of your life unknowingly." If you've tripped before, I'm sure you have experienced the feeling I'm describing, and I'm sure you've had the experience of seeing everything in "extra detail" as if you changed the resolution of your life from 360p to 4k. Reality is just really complicated and abstract, it takes a lot of mental fortitude to take all of that in.
