Clear, fine, pure, or even bland stylization also has its place in plethora of different stories. I don't really know how to explain it to you, but this may be the thing that drags people towards cgdct's, its cleanliness, in visuals among others. And that could also be why people are often so polarized in their opinions on those newer moe shows, you know which ones. A reflection I just have had.
