the reason he's so popular/gets meme'd to death is because unlike most producers that are mostly just background people that you don't hear about unless you're an artist or something yourself khalid goes out of his way to have social media presence and whatnot.
the most unique way he does this is by getting artists he produces for to let him feature in their songs, often by just yelling taglines and/or being in the music video.
my favorite example is this song where he has his name in the title for literally yelling "WHO CAN RELATE" at seemingly random intervals during what's intended to be a relatively somber song as far as rap goes
