Spirit is an infallible, absolute instance, it always follow the Truth by default without choice, it's forever and always guided by the Love, and that's the one and only Law of existence. The Love to the Spirit is the curiosity, experience, joy. The Will will always seek it. But the material, defined world will get to be an interference, Spirit can't follow specific ideas as it's far beyond it's reach, that's where the Mind comes in to place. Mind is the self-awareness of the Ego, and Ego is collective information gathered from the both Exoteric (material) and Esoteric (gut feeling) guide, i.e. The Self. The Reason - is the ultimate conclusion of all the gathered information, knowledge, experience and it's prolonged processing. The Reason has option to either follow the logistics to follow what will benefit the Exoteric, outer world in-of-itself (Noumenon quintessence) or follow what will benefit the Esoteric, inner world, i.e. the True-Self. You're free to choose either, the Ego (The Self) is the ultimate ruler, it's burdened by the Superego (prejudices of "morals", often necessary to survive in Exoteric world) and the Id - which can really be defined as the subconsciousness of the Spirit. Following the path of True-Self, even though through the glance of the Reason, is the closest we get to Free Will due to the limitations of the material realm; none the less that doesn't disprove it's existence.
