For example. If you own half of SPY there is no one to sell your covered calls to.
Sure you can do some but at a certain point you cant maneuver. Thats where bondholders come in.
Most of the rich, the real rich, have waaaaaaaaaay to much money. Billions. Trillions.
Buy the next 1000x company doesnt even make them 1% gains for their portfolio.
They won the game.
Look at the early 1980s bonds, they basically cashed out bonds and build the US stock market. Now bonds are bleeding and the richy richy class need their bonds back again.
My guess is we hit bonds yields up to 15%, or however high they can manage, and then big boys can buy their bonds and use those profits to build the market up again the next 30 years or so.
