I started playing at 14, by my
late 20’a I was out of that game.
I discovered bodybuilding along
the way via physical therapy
for a car wreck and the next
thing I knew I was all about
Olympia dreams for years,
lived it. it was my new passion.
and I did relate it to music and
loved how passions worked
in our lives. So years later still
into fitness I decided to pick up
guitar. I would always go over
transitions and arrangements
in my head and thought hearing
the higher ends might provide
further insight.
The reason I’m interested in
BC Rich is because in L.A.
corner of Lincoln and Franklin,
Emmerson Apt, there was a
couple of guys from N.Y. and
one had a white Warlock bass.
I was well familiar with their
image in music, liked them
enough, but generally thought
it was for the look.
He let me play his, and as
soon as I placed my thumb
on the pick up and laid my
fingers across the rosewood,
I instantly warmed up to this
creature. It was like I had
been playing for weeks
already. So it’s sort of
iconic symbolism for
me. Of course I was
fortunate enough to play
a strat a few times and have
noticed guitarist on Les
Paul’s tend to shred. .
Fantastic physique on Doyle there!
Glen was looking good as well.
