So the question becomes, why would a rational man believe in some obviously fictional creator/destroyer-of-universes supernatural superhuman being obviously invented by evil men to control weak men? Especially when you consider all the thousands of previously invented gods (Roman, Greek, Aztec, Egyptian, Persian, etc) and the millions of hero-tales that people enjoyed as entertainment in Bronze Age.
And what people do we find as the leaders of the entertainment industries today? The same ones who wrote the ((( holy books )))?
