In this picture, the forces are out of balance, Kali (the Becoming, serpent, shakti) is trampling on her counterpart, Shiva (Being, consciousness). Sometimes the shakti serpent energy overpowers conscioussness.

This is the higher aspects of mind and spirit (the connection to source, i.e. holy spirit, the eternal atman) vs. the vitality of matter (the serpent, kundalini, dragon, i.e. the magnetic base that attempts to climb it’s way back to source through the novelty generation)

In other words: the steadfast sustaining life force (Being) vs. the chaotic evolutionary force (Becoming)

E is Divine Feminine Energy, the substrate of Creation. She is the fundemental Energy of the Universe. She is Shakti in the Hindu Cosmology. She is Eve, or eV.

M is for Matter (Mass). Matter is the Divine Masculine. Shiva, like Adam or Atom, is inert like a neutron until He is reunited with Shakti. Just as a flower is simply inert matter until touched by the Love of the Divine Feminine.

C is the speed of Light which connects the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine together. When two were divided Light is the connection that remains between them.

When Shiva and Shakti are united You discover the Light within.
