https://archive.palanq.win/bant/thread/18997491/#q19015102Kanako drifted into consciousness a couple hours later. As her mind slowly came to life and her brain kick started, she realized she didn't recognize her surroundings. She shot upwards in bed and reached for a small pistol she usually has strapped to her back, to find it not there.
>Ah-ah-what the eff-owwww!She clutched her left hip, checking it quickly. Only looked like a flesh wound, thankfully. Her head quickly darted around the room, seeing Nika staring at her, sitting in a chair confused.
>O-Oh...uh...hi!Kanako awkwardly waved.
She shifted out of bed and grimaced, limping a little as she stood up but shook her leg off and pushed through the pain. Nika did a good job at first aid. Kanako walked over with a slight limp to the fridge in the safehouse, grabbing a bottle of water and slowly chugging the entire thing.
>So! Uh, than-*BRUGHUUUIP*Kanako loudly belched.
>...Um.Kanako took a quick sip of whatever was left in the bottle.
>Thank you for saving my life and keeping me guard! A lot of hostag-RESCUEES wouldn't have done that! But it seems like we're safe here, sooooo...Kanako grabbed another bottle of water from the fridge and walked back over to the bed, sitting down.
>So uh...man I'm bad at this first thing in the morning. Um, let's uh, hypothetically say some organization had a vested interest in breaking you out and asking you some questions, you'd be down for my protection right? Or, uh, THEIR protection.Kanako chugged another bottle of water.
>So you'd be willing to go along with that righ-OH CRAP PROPHET!Kanako smiled at Nika before panicking and tapping her right ear several times.
