also people need to take a hint, when my only input to the conversation has been just to say "mmhmm" or "yeah" for almost a fucking hour and i'm typing on my computer you should figure that this conversation is fucking boring
it might seem rude but so is eating up my time on idle chatter, i made the mistake of trying to engage one once and i actually spent five hours straight hearing some greatest generation go on and on with literal "when i was your age" style stories
