When you see with your own eyes it's a different thing, it's too beautiful, breathtaking, you understand you're in the center of western civilization.
If you ever go just be careful for the scammers, you can pay them like 20€ to skip the line in the Vatican museums, Colosseum and various other monuments, but it's a scam.
Other than Rome there are many other beautiful places to visit in Italy. Like Florence, Naples, or Venice. But Rome should have the priority if you want my advice
