I would probably only ever take the 0.5mg dose too since saw palmetto + rosemary seems to pretty much work for me already and i dont want any weird dick issues or unnecessarily reduce DHT / get more estrogen (i get slight puffyness in nipples from it thats about it)
what i would really want is a very cheap recipe with low payment for the higher dose 5mg finasteride or the dutasteride for prostata growth prevention (or what that was) because those recipes are even cheaper and i can then just break down the tablets or in case of the dut soft jells just space them out more, it should work just fine since those drugs have huge half life inside the body
if you get such a recipe from the doctor for the prostate issue, its a different dosage and portion size, a significantly larger one and you still only pay like a couple bucks for tons of pills that will last you over a year, that would be bang for the buck
right now im actualy ok with palmetto and topical rosemary / peppermint it does work really well im barely losing any hair whenever i shower now and it isnt thinning further when i always use it (and the saw palmetto internally it shaves off a good portion of the base DHT but still leaves comfortably enough to have whatever androgenic functions it may have)
the only reason i want fin/dut from the doc is basically bang for the buck i can work with the natural DHT blockers plus supplements really well so far
just saying here again: NEVER GIVE YOUR FEMALE ANY FINASTERIDE OR DUTASTERIDE because when she is pregnant and its in her blood stream it will actually cause DEATHBIRTHS in MALES because DHT is crucial for the male development until puberty is finished, after that, once your dick is grown, your hair has thicked in, your voice has dropped and all (like 18 at earliest, ~30 at later mabye if you beard thickens this slow)then you can start blocking it to nirvana retain hair and rely on your normal test
