if you do good deeds it will benefit you and be written in your book of deeds but if you dedicate your worship and gratitude to christ instead of god (the Father as you know it) it will be in vain since Christ is the servant of God (the Father) and all worship should be directed to him.
No man will bear the sins of another man so there is no basis in Islam that a man could die for someone elses sin since we are responsible for our own sins. Your love for christ is a good thing but dont go to extremes where you worship him or make him a co-equal with god.
In Islam we believe those who did not receive the message of islam can still enter paradise if they were people who has done good deeds so this includes Christians as well.
