>>17124841but that's what i'm saying, it's funny to me either way. physical collections are a funny hobby to have and just posting a big list of media you've consumed is also kind of funny. since books are a physical media naturally anyone who reads a lot is going to end up with a lot of books, but i think most people wouldn't really conceptualize it as a "collection" rather than just stuff that's piled up
so if people are posting because they're proud of their collection the same way they'd be proud of a stamp or guitar collection that's funny to me, but if they're posting just because they want to talk with strangers about the catalogue of books they've read like a steam library that's also funny to me
