To put this in perspective here, I am genuinely considering giving up my career aspirations and applying to be a city bus driver. That is dead solid hours, not god awful pay, fine benefits. The only problem is the first year is shit because I am told they don't schedule you in a respectable way during this period (split shifts, like 4 hour chunk, you take three hours off, then work another 4 later that day). After that it's just some early morning and late night.
I am thinking about this because my field does not pay and there are no opportunities and no benefits because I am on contract a lot of the time.
