if your guild is so ruthless that they'll replace someone who has been participating in and performing well in progression for some time then they're either so hardcore that you should expect to be benched for reasons out of your control or they're a bad guild who doesn't know what they're doing. on top of that it's just not true that because a class has a low skill ceiling people will be mostly the same
demon hunter is currently one of the most braindead classes the game has ever had. it literally has a 4 button rotation and so much mobility that they have no excuse to get hit by anything. our guild had 3 demon hunters that were all good, competent players and did wildly different amounts of damage compared to each other with very similar gear. all of them could explain why there was a damage difference and each of them always said it was almost entirely because of something they were doing better/worse than the others
if you got replaced by another BM hunter because he was doing (significantly) more damage than you it is because he was a better player, not because he had a legendary
