i went to lous, pequods, giordanos and some other vaguely italian named place.
best "chicago" food is italian beef sandwiches and the hotdogs with peppers and relish
deep dish is almost always a travesty, reason i liked pequods and lous is because they had some substance and it wasn't this whole monotextured soft mess like somebody was gonna make lasagna, only put the pasta on the bottom of the pan and then filled the rest with sauce and cheese
