Why does it feel like this is the end of history and innovation? Isn't nvidia too big to fail unlike its predecessors Intel, IBM or others that lost their positions as the market leader? I really admire what Jensen did, he started the company when he was 30 and 30 years later it became the biggest in the world purely on PE, no bullshit, no smokes or mirrors, he's arguably the most influential person that has ever existed up until now.
Technological progress being concentrated into couple of huge companies and the complexity shooting through the roof makes me insanely depressed. What Jensen did will probably never happen ever again. Just look at science fiction, now that AI has been concentrated what is there even left? Implants? People don't even care about their weight or health, augmentation will never become a thing. What big breakthroughs can a small company even make anymore outside of cold fusion or room temp superconductors...
