I'm nearly finished with The Road. It's not bad but I feel more disappointed by it than anything, it isn't anywhere close to the level of Blood Meridian. I understand it holds sentimental value to McCarthy but why anyone would call this his masterpiece is beyond me. But who knows, maybe the last few pages will make me change my mind.
