If so, that is absolutely brutal. The pain of that condition, the stress of changing gender and everything. I don't want to think about Josie suffering at all, let alone to that horrific magnitude.
But she's obviously a happy enough person now. If that did happen then she's moved on and made the best of it. Having survived all that so bravely would only make me love her more.
