If you're interesting in talking/meeting cool people try private Telegram communities. I've managed to get invited into a couple of these places and I've been able to make some friends. The issue is you're going to have to meet people irl but I suppose that sort of thing has been due for a while now.
I recommend >>/x/ if you like fantasy and creative writing. I've added some things I've found on there into my games and stories before so that's fun. The miscellaneous boards are just that. Brain rot. The hobby boards are alright but not populated like they used to be.
If you're interesting in imageboards specifically I would recommend 8kun. It's a much better platform and you can make your own boards + stack images, etc. The problem is that it's constantly raided by the CIA and pedophiles. Speaking of CP there is a huge problem with that here as well.
TL;DR please leave this place it's not good for you. There are better alternatives.
