So he gets you to sin, as a means of getting God to destroy you, since Satan himself can't destroy souls. Only God can unmake or destroy that which was not meant to age or be destroyed. That's why God in the OT mocks the "divine council" and says they will die like men, lake of fire.
I mean if it's all just nothing then don't worry about it, but nothing is going to save (You) from God, as final judge. If indeed he doesn't exist, I've lost nothing by trying to be a good person. I love my fellow human being.
