If you find out everything your faith taught you was real then guess what? Hell is probably real too and that's the only other option. That or non-existence. Do you really think other spirits are going to be concerned with the petty things that people on Earth were concerned with? We probably won't even have emotions as you know them, the entire idea of eternal life is such a fantastical concept. You're not going to "get bored" or "panic".
