Cassie has a smile on her face as she makes her way into Club Xtacy for the first time in months. Her pride and joy. The hub of all of her business operations in the USA. With a few minutes remaining before the doors opened to patrons at 10PM, she decides to carry out a quick inspection, to make sure everything was as she left it.
But she barely takes two steps into the venue before Liam Lonergan comes rushing toward her with a look of panic on his face. Cassie sighs. She knew that look. This won’t be good. She had long come to the conclusion that Lonergan was good for nothing but occasionally serving as one of her… outlets. But in the weeks leading up to Cassie’s departure to Japan, he had shown some degree of aptitude for nightclub work. What a shame he was almost certainly about to reveal himself to be useless at that too.
“Miss Kade,” Lonergan pants. “It’s so good to see you again. But before you go any further, you should know there’s been some changes.”
“I didn’t authorise any changes,” Cassie replies, her voice low but firm, “Nor was I informed of any.”
Lonergan nods quickly. “It was your sister. She came here with her friends - the blonde with the pigtails, and the blonde with the accent.”
The one with pigtails could only be Sapphire, now known as Spirit. Cassie had met her before, while visiting Nikki at the mansion. Nice girl. And the one with the accent must be the owner of the aforementioned mansion, Priscilla Divine. Cassie wasn’t sure just what the hell those two and Nikki could have been up to in Club Xtacy, but she had no doubt she wasn’t going to like it.
“Nikki sent you a video that night actually,” Lonergan continues. “I… I guess you must not have seen it? Probably for the best…”
Curious, Cassie unlocks her phone, and begins to comb through a number of unread messages sent by her younger sister.
