*ahem* My experience at a local gamestop: I walked in and was immediately smacked in the face with wet old carpet stench. I looked to my left and saw the 40% off funko wall. There was a man with his son, I clearly heard him blame his kid for taking too long: "we have to go now because you're taking too long deciding what you want." Broke people shouldn't be parents.
I found the yugioh pack I wanted and stood in line. The hick in front of me berated the cashier, but it wasn't even the berating that bugged me, it was the fact they didn't have dragons dogma 2 in stock. How the fuck are we losing sales on not keeping hot items in stock? Simple shit really and gamestop falls short.
Anyways, the cashier was a tatted up neo pagan coomer. You could tell by the glasses, severe balding and the classic coomergaze. He probably hangs out in the trash thread but this isn't about his physical appearance. More so, the lack of personality, overall disinterest and unfamiliarity with pro membership and the like. Maybe I'm being too harsh, maybe it's just a one off store. But besides a couple of posters and the "power to the players sign," that was added, you would not have been able to tell a corporate takeover had occurred.
In conclusion, my experience at gamestop was very underwhelming.
