>>8819542I'll be reusing a bit of stuff I posted from a thread about all this a few days ago
One thing I consistently notice is when people post their "survival" stuff there's 4 guns, 8 knives, and a bunch of useless shit in a molle pack that weights 9 lbs empty
Before you get any larp gear, get a good pair of boots
Goretex with a good rand
Your life in shtf/wrol will depend on good boots more than it will a rifle 98% of the time
I recommend Lowa, I've beat the living fuck out of mine and they keep ticking, also (certain models) made in the fatherland
Specifically I like the Rangers, less stiff than the tibets, but built to carry weigh unlike the (very comfy) renegades
For those accusing me of being a boot merchant if I didn't go Lowa I like Meindl (branded as Cabela's boots in burgerland) and Hanwag)
Those aren't the only boots out there, just the ones I like
Just make sure they aren't work boots, 97% of the time they aren't right for this sort of shit. Also steel toe boots tend to not be good for hiking and whatnot, I'm sure there are exceptions
This is 1 thing you don't want to cheap out on
