>>11978541yeah, i think i'd be quite annoyed by the attitude if it were a class that i truly thought was piss easy and/or horribly uninteresting. in this case it's enjoyable since even if i now find the content we're covering relatively simple i did at once point put a decent amount of time into learning it and still see it as challenging to quickly get things precise, so enthusiastic positive feedback ends up being encouraging rather than feeling patronizing or like it's getting in the way of just getting through the information to be done with it.
my understanding is that this hyperawareness to social class is exactly why it's viewed as rude. high class, important people are stoic so if someone is acting stoic it's because they think that they're at worst tied for most important person in the room.
