>>4349349fuck, of course. that's a great one. i remember when i was a kid i spent a long time thinking that colonel was "cardinal" in english. and being surprised a few years later when i found out cardinal wasn't a military rank. this happened because i didn't really study english at my early age, i just picked it up by watching the cartoon network, which, of course featured american accents. by the time i actually first saw latin writing and english spelling i had known english for years.
yeah, this is going to seal it in my head. can not belive i never made the connection until now.
