it makes sense for now but it's difficult to remember and keep it all straight. particularly when considering some american accents pronounce control with a hard o at the beginning or olivia as uh-livia so i also need to consider what they "proper" pronunciation for a word is.
i guess extra vowels isn't an accurate way to phrase it. it's just somewhat counter intuitive to how it's pronounced in english since the wi sound in twice or twilight is part of 1 syllable but it's 2 all by itself in korean. once i see how it gets broken down it makes sense, but it's hard to come to the conclusion myself or remember it for every vowel sound
