>>3384350Well, to be fair it does exist a dish made with pasta and small meatballs but sure as hell they're not spaghetti and BIG meatballs.
Pic related is called "Pasta pasticciata" or more commonly "Pasta al forno" (Oven baked pasta).
It's just normal pasta with tomato sauce and meatballs (the meatballs have been cooked in the sauce for some hours so they can absorb all the goodness) then we put it in a casserole and cover it with mozzarella (the REAL mozzarella not the american imitation) and then we put all in the oven.
When the pasta has become crunchy and the mozzarella has melted, it's ready.
There are variations of this pasta, in some regions instead of the meatballs they use ragù (bolognese) and they add peas, etc..
