>>11299936This is true. I'm a smoker myself, but even I was appalled by the massive amount of smoking that goes in INDOORS in that country. If you've ever seen those little silver, circular trays on arcade cabinets in Japan, those are ash trays. People smoke in those cramped, little cabins while they play arcade games. I wanted to watch a friend of mine beast on some Street Fighter, but I couldn't stand the smoke.
I've heard it's different now, there are designated smoking areas, but holy shit, they smoked like chimneys when I was there.
And there's so much fucking oil and salt in everything they eat and I don't ever remember seeing one Japanese person eating a salad. They like their oily, salty, fatty goodness just as much as we do. And they'll crack an egg over just about anything for extra goodness.
