I used to sundry my shrooms (mainly A. gemmada and A. pantherina as A. muscaria pops out at the time when therex no more sun... ) and then keep them in my room and while A. gemmadas made my room smell wonderfully of mushrooms panthers made it smell like when a cat knocks over the houseplant
and even when cooked in with fried meat and veggies they have a strong earthy flavour like cheap tea or suspicious coffee has sometimes
also, A. phalloides is reported to have amazing flavour rivaling that of A. cessarea, but hepatotoxicity you get in return...
