I think this is the plan, they appear to be going for it across the board, across borders, the only way to do it without there being a mad ruch to countries with it implemented from those without.
Do I personally want to stop working and get about a grand a month free forever with the drawback being they can limit my purchases of whatever or track my every move if I "misbehave"? Sure, why not? I got things to do that don't cost money. Our descendents will not thank us, however.
