The chore for the seminar? If it's just a random seminar exercise then why bother? Those don't get your marks anyway. Well, maybe your uni doesn't anonymise assignments, in which case they would matter because the lecturer remembers.

Sadly (if you also have the connections to back it up) the name of your university means a lot in job applications. But I guess I also fell for the prestige meme. My previous uni from a town nobody from this island ever heard about was much better than this one. On second thought, I might be too antisocial to comprehend the whole thing about making connections. It's very good in that regard I suppose, but I came here because I wanted to study something I was passionate about, first and foremost.
