>>9932383it's actually about $6 trillion, the bill was $2 trillion but simultaneously the fed bond buybacks and the increased burden on existing welfare and services is increased. the CDC cited a number of $10 trillion needed to sustain ourselves and we are likely to surpass that as trump is floating the idea of another bill
this is why you see me start sounding warning bells about the debt, we're jumping decades forward in that timeline in less than a month and we're gonna have decreased revenue from contracted GDP. in this short amount of time we might increase the debt by 50%, and i feel like everyone thinks the solution is to keep injecting money when that isn't the problem, the problem is simply people need to work
>>9932430the federal government was always prepared to suspend rights in a crisis, that's not new (see WW2 and civil war). the media is thirsting to take down trump and wielding states rights against him, the CDC is going full doomsday larp thinking they're standing against the worst plague ever and too much credibility is being lent to them
if i were to put on my tin foil hat, i say the whole thing reeks of chinese involvement. i think they're gambling that they come out ahead at the end of this, either by trump losing or our economy being so shattered that we don't give a shit about the trade war anymore. i'm not of the opinion that this is entirely trump's plan or under control, this is kinda disastrous from that standpoint (the disease itself is fucking weak)
and yeah it's bedtime
