>>14886253>Working a manual labour job isn't to be a slave, because we need manual labour doing to survive, we need to plant, grow and harvest food, we need sources of clean waterCorrect but the majority of manual labor jobs are unneeded. The world and society could survive just fine without grocery baggers, check out clerks, waiters and waitresses, baristas, or all the other wagei jobs.
And of course boomers have a narcissist reasoning when it comes to these type of jobs. On one hand they will tell you are a loser if you work a manual labor job you should not be expected to be able to own a house if you are a grocery clerk, because it's a nearly pointless job that adds so little value to the world that you should suffer crippling poverty. Then they bitch and complain that no one wants to work anymore and say that these jobs are necessary! Well if they are necessary then they should be paid decent wages. If these jobs are necessary and they don't pay well then that's exploitation. In both cases it's acceptable to not work such a job because it's pointless or its not and you are being exploited pick one.
>Most "rich" people who engage in things like real estate or other types of investment are people who went through the same process of getting a job, working for other people, learning skills and increasing their own value, and then saving aside some money to invest itAgain I agree you do have to get a job to build savings. Then once you do have your savings never work again. Working is a means to a end not the end like many boomers advocate.
