The colonization of consciousness::
For those who understand the principles of the Kaballah, or most esoteric systems, you'll understand that Malkuth, the physical realm, is like an artifice, a consensus reality of each Self's higher levels of desire.
We incarnate down here in this currently inverted Kingdom ruled by "Moloch" (same etymology as Malkuth btw - MLK) as a diversion and as a test.
In gnostic terms, Malkuth, the physical, was created by the Demiurge, the last "lens" in the chain of consciousness that filters and processes the light from the highest Source. It is a like a shadow of the higher realities and heavenly planes.
With the Metaverse, Facebook is attempting to create an even lesser reality of the one we inhabit, an eleventh Sefirot that is stationed below Malkuth (perhaps this relates to one of Qliphoth). This is made abundantly clear by their inclusion of the Theosophy paintings in the Metaverse ad:

These works appear to relate to Theosophy’s version of evolutionary theory, in which evolution occurs in two directions, elevating from the physical to the spiritual and descending from the divine to the material world.As we all know by now, humanity faces a dilemma of consciousness: proceed into a deeper depths of the material prison, or rise above to the prism that is spirit.
